 From my Nokia E61, this is what I get in the remote logs :

and :

netname:        VODAFONE-CORE-NETWORK-DEVELOPMENT


also, as an aside : why are you using the wap gateway ( which will 
always be via an external proxy ) and not using native IP to the device ?
