Got a Asus 1440*900 a couple of days ago, the mobo has an on board intel
i810 chip, I found that when I tried to run a 24bit i got odd flicering
lines, so I dropped it to 16 bit, and now everything is nice.

But thats using ubuntu 6.10, sorry no experience with SUSE.
