[Gllug] FAT patent

Hello,
   I have just seen an (unconfirmed) report that the US Patent Office has
awarded Microsoft patent rights over its File Allocation Table, as currently
used by many other operating systems. As far as I know it is used more for
convenience by Linux, and there are other alternatives, but it could still
prove to be a pain.
