Make sure all your important data is backed up.  The Suse 10+ installer has an 
"upgrade" option, which tries its' best to leave /home untouched, but I have 
seen a couple of disasters when folks blithely assume it'll work for them!

On one of my desktop machines, /home is on a separate drive, which I've 
physically unplugged before doing an upgrade!
