I'm sorry that you feel that way. Your question answered my point, so it
cannot have been that unclear.
I think much of the misunderstanding has been because people think I
don't know what I am talking about - several appear to have suggested I
must have set the A record to point to the .255 address when the whole
point was me saying I'd done otherwise and wondered why it was set
to .255.
I do agree that I was wrong to state it was the subnet - the network
address of course being .0
I'm not the first to make the point about some of the tone of the
contributions here, I'm sure I won't be the last.
