I guess I am the guilty party that came into the BOF about five minutes late 
(I got caught up in the Hardware hack show and tell session) to listen to 
what was going on. I am only one of the volunteers at GLLUG, but I just 
happened to be at the LUG Radio Live 06 event anyway.

Absolutely anyone can help out at GLLUG and are always welcome.
As I said in the BOF, GLLUG is the best group and will take over the world. 
You are more than welcome to join GLLUG :-)


For those not familiar with lug.org.uk - AFAIK this acts in two ways. The 
first is to provide a meeting place for Linux users and also facilities for 
LUGs to create website and mailing lists.

One of the main people at lug.org.uk is our own (OK we share him with OxLUG 
but that is really only part of Greater, Greater London anyway!) Alasdair.

The BOF (Birds Of a Feather) meeting was in a little room that was hot and 
packed. GLLUG do not make full use of lug.org.uk as both the website(s), 
wiki, and mailing list are hosted by others, but we are listed in the 
directory.

The first part of the discussion at the BOF was a request for help to solve 
the problem of the lug.org.uk having a failing server. The second was a 
discussion on how it could be utilised better.

Overall, the attendees were very grateful to the lug,org,uk admin team for 
handling everything so smoothly.
