[GLLUG] Wireless AP Live CD

Does anyone know of a solution that would allow me to boot an old laptop
(PIII 300mhz & 64mb ram) from a live CD and have it act as an access
point?  The drive in it is bad so I would just like to boot from a CD.
I don't need it forever but have been having problem with my Bulldog
connection (surprise, surprise) and can't get my hardware AP to work.  I
have a Lucent card if that is of any help.  Ideas welcome.
