Funny you should ask this.
I had dreadful performance on Monday, with the link dropping frequently.
Signal/Noise ratio would vary between 0 (!) and 3.5,
and loop attenuation constant at 70.5

I have a Draytek router, and flashed the firmware with their special UK2
firmware for dodgy lines. SNR nor 4.5, and loop attenuation 68.5.
Link seems OK at that.

I really do think there is a temperature dependence on my line at least.
I seem to remember worse performance last summer.
