[Gllug] More gpg usage

Now I've sorted out what I'm doing with my pgp keys I have another
problem. I've had my key for a few years now and I've added UIDs to it
for my email addresses. One of these now is no longer in use but I
can't work out how to revoke the user id. I did

gpg --edit-key jon at pecorous.co.uk

and then selected the user id and did a revkey which marked it as
revoked. Trouble is even after re-sending the key to the keyserver
(pgp.mit.edu) the uid still shows up on the key.

Am I doing this all wrong?
