Couple of possible explanations:

1) You're not satisfying dependencies.

GM wants those libraries, you don't have them.  You need to install 
them.  Your package manager should help you with this.

2) You have the libs, but they're not in the linker's search path.

Add the right paths to /etc/ld.so.conf
