Rant continued... I too am fed up with this sort of thing, although
somewhat in reverse. My current bugbear is that GAIM provides no way
for me to change its appearance (fonts, colours, etc). I'm assuming
it's inheriting those from some default system values somewhere, and I
don't like the defaults. However, a) I don't know where the defualts
are kept and b) I don't know how to change them. Sigh. Come back
.Xresources, all is forgiven.
