[Gllug] [very OT] electronics kits

My godson likes taking things apart, lots: reassembly
poses more problems. I thought perhaps an electronics
kit would be a good distraction but can't figure out
where to get one that doesn't stink of educational
aids (that's the Science Museum out, alas).

Forgive me if you feel stereotyped but I thought
someone on this list might know.
