[Gllug] Swap never seems to be used

I have a server box with 512 MB of RAM and a 1.5 GB swap file and
although the RAM usage gets high - the buffers and cache see to that.
But swap is never touched. I have ensured it is a proper swap file and
all that - but how can check this swap file actually works (I have no
performance issues to worry about, I'm just intrigued)
