If MS include GPL code in their work or contribute to GPL licensed works 
other than by aggregation they will simply have to release under the GPL. 
It's no different for them than anyone else.

Nothing in the GPL prevents anyone distributing such works for profit - 
hence RedHat, Novell, et al.
