As a student myself (albeit a mature one) I don't see that as a killer
argument.
The killer arguments to me are:
We (Ubuntu anyway) are cooler than Windows
We have support for your music player/digital camera with some flashy
software
We don't cost you anything and you won't get any viruses
It does seem to work roughly in that order.
