Yes, when I'm telling someone to go and do something, not when I'm
describing their future plans.

Surely "She's going and catching the plane" doesn't mean "she's going to
catch the plane"; the first sentence means she's doing it now and the
second means she'll be doing it in the future.

In Nix's example the speaker's left out "to go" - "She's going to go to
London and talk on global warming."

I wonder if grammar checkers are more use for languages with gender?
