The Times gave up on journalism a long time ago. I was working there
in the mid '90s, and remember Microsoft sponsoring The Times for a
day when Windows 95 was launched. The paper that day coincidentally
also featured a set of editorials about computers and the rise of
Microsoft, one of them claiming that geeks universally acknowledged
Bill Gates as "the greatest programmer of his generation".
