   I think that more people have heard of Open Source Software now, and are
willing to try a Knoppix CD. If they find that it will boot without problems
on their PC they become even more keen to try something new. Unfortunately
they tend to lose interest if Knoppix does not boot and run a GUI, perhaps
because of low memory, or a CD drive fails when DMA is switched on.
   At one time IT trade contractors and smaller retail outlets would have
been worried about losing their special trade price concessions, but I am
now finding that the majority are using Open Source.
