Wireless USB adaptors & Linux are very tricky, particularly the '-g'
(ie. 54 Mbps) versions.  If it's not a problem for you, I would
suggest getting a 802.11-b (ie. 11 Mbps) USB adaptor as they are IME
much more likely to work.  I'm using one right now -- a Belkin F5D6050
-- which cost me peanuts and works perfectly.
