[Gllug] First Pub Meet in Kent

Several of us in the Kent LUG have  felt the need to socialize in a pub with 
all its usual attractions, being beer and good like-minded company. Therefore 
we've knocked out a tentative schedule to start in the New Year with the 
first occurring on the second Friday of the month - society rooms maidstone 
[Wetherspoons near the East railway station, the glass walled 
monstrosity :),, and then fourth Friday of the month - Old Bev, Canterbury 
[come out of the west station as if you've just arrived from Maidstone, turn 
left, go 100m, on the left is a footpath signposted "university" 
and "whitstable, follow that, go under the bridge, keep following the path 
straight, you then come out at a small monument/green and on your left is the 
Old Bev pub. If you need more instructions ask Kitty on irc].

So our first pub meet will be on the 12th of January at 1930 at the Society 
Rooms in Maidstone. Come along and join us for a chat and gossip, but please 
wear something geeky so that we will recognise you. I'll be wearing my RH 
peaked cap! :)
