Indeed - the petulant response of the OP was entirely unjustified.
There were only two responses before he threw his toys out of his pram
and departed, neither of which admittedly was of the form, "Ah, the
magic bullet will solve your problem is ...", but then real solutions
seldom if ever are of that form.
It's perfectly reasonable to kick a problem around and explore what are
the variables and what are the fixed points. To expect anything else on
a discussion list is completely unreasonable.
