Ah I guess that makes some sense, although I would have thought that
most hotplug scenarios would involve a backplane. So the cables could
have clips but the interface between the disk caddy and the backplane
needn't have.
Still, I think Western Digital have started making cables with clips on,
and 3Ware RAID controllers have multi-lane cables with clips.

Sorry to bang on about it but it's the bane of my life, or one them at
least! :)
