If they've already had problems with hotmail then hosting their own server
will just move the problem and they'll have to look after blacklisting
themselves. Sounds like they don't have much technical clue so that may be
beyond them.

Likewise it's not something that smaller providers are likely to relish.

Someone like fastmail (www.fastmail.fm) is probably more suited or perhaps
Pobox (www.pobox.com) as they'll already have relationships in place with
the big mail providers.
