You are right of course.

However if someone intents to be judgemental or rude I would rather pass on
their help.
All the same I enjoy linux and the wider community's know-how is something I
admire a lot. For ppl like me who enjoy linux but haven't the time or
necessarily the interest to delve under the hood the approachability of
these list is important.

Please feel free to have a go if I make some obviously stupid remarks or bad
technical choices, but personal critism is misplaced.
