[Gllug] ext3 filesystem suddenly full

That's easily dealt with then. Have / and /tmp of separate small 
partitions, /usr on a reasonable sized one (say 5-10GB) and the rest for 
/var with /home being a symlink to /var/home

This could be set up automatically very easily as the default option with 
the facility still available for those who know what they are doing.
