I strongly suspect this is the future of the TV industry. Sooner or
later you'll just buy an Internet connection from someone and use it to
subscribe to various TV/Movie/VOIP services. Of course all of these
industries are terrified by this idea because it threatens to hurt their
revenue, but if they are smrt they will offer packages of
content/services much as they do now.

While I might choose to just Comedy Central, ABC, NBC and good old
Auntie, I can see that a lot of people would be happy to buy Sky style
bundles at a discounted rate with a phone line terminated via SIP.

Roll on the future, providing paranoia from some stupid companies
doesn't prevent it!
