[Gllug] 80 column xterm

What I want:
xterm width: 80 char
xterm window-size: 1024x768 (i.e. the maximized state)
why: Vi's width exceeds 80 chars when xterm is maximized ("set co=80" is ugly)
After trying different fonts and font-sizes in xterm, the best I could get is
either 79 chars or 85 chars. Here's an example:
$ xterm -fa "Bitstream Vera Serif Mono" -fs 19 -geometry 85x30
Is there any better solution? TIA.
