I do find that I work better practically than simply asked questions
during an interview. That's always been the case. I get awfully
nervous during job interviews and that tends to blow it. But whenever
I have been accepted, it's worked out just fine. And as for
recruitment agencies, I've had nothing but trouble with dealing with
recruitment agencies. Never gotten a job using them - and at one
point, it even made things *worse* (long and complicated story).

Without going into too much detail, I had to accept a lower rate of
pay to work where I am now than I was when I was working in the web
hosting/ISP industry. And I also progressed much better and faster in
the web hosting/ISP world than I have in film. It's only JUST got to
the stage where my basic has just about overtaken the basic salary I
was paid 7 years ago. But that said, job satisfaction can be as
equally important than pay. I wanted to get in the film industry and
had to accept that the salary would be lower, and public transport
costs will be higher.

Only the applicant can decide whether the job's benefits will outweigh
the salary offered.

M. - All opinions my own, etc. etc.
