Companies (and agencies) that checklist-recruit deserve the staff they
get. If a sysadmin has 3-5 year's worth of decent experience handling
LDAP or mail, then they should be able to pick up samba pretty
quickly, and reason out any day-to-day problems.

This is the approach I have taken when recruiting,.and it works well.
The personality
is more important than the buzzword. A list of probing questions and a
probation period
is vital as well. Some staff I've taken on have not made it through
the probation period,
mostly because their attitude was at odds with the company, rather
than any lack of technical skills.
