I use both Lloyds TSB and First Direct regularly from Linux.  Never had 
a problem with either (although First Direct do offer something called 
"Online Banking Plus" or something like that, which requires ActiveX. 
Of course anyone who accesses on-line banking through a browser with 
ActiveX enabled deserves all they get.)
