I remember (back in the 90s) my dad supergluing the plastic latches that
kept the balls in the mice to stop the balls from being nicked.  Wireless
mice wouldn't have lasted two lessons.

(And I remember people swapping the keyboards and/or mice and/or monitors of
adjacent PCs. "Sir, why's my mouse moving on its own?" "Sir, I'm moving the
mouse but nothing's happening!")
