There is no such thing as a "best" solution - only the solution that
best meets your own needs.

You state that you need it to be able to scale up so you must have
specific needs. Work out what they are and how important each of them
is. Then you'll be able to better consider the various options available
to you and select what best fits both the requirements and you.

Postfix will certainly scale so long as you set it up right.

Cyrus should as well although I've no personal experience of it (I am
happy with dovecot).
