yes, 24x7 I have used it and found it helpful.

treatment evil deserves. So no, Tiscali is not involved.

None as far as I know but then I have not specifically checked. Their
community forums should be able to highlight any areas you are concerned

They have added value products but I do not use them. I have had no
problems using alternative DNS.

On the topic of aptitude, I have found their proactive reporting of
issues and what they are doing to correct them very refreshing. Down
time has been less than with other ISPs I have dealt with.
