I'm sorry but that's nonsense.
Please read James' oroginal post. It is a perfectly reasonable job
advert, with details on the role and the experience of the candidates
they would like to apply.
As someone who has worked in the Post industry, it strikes me as a good
job advert, for a well respected and long established company.
We should be grateful that companies like that think of coming to the
GLLUG list to recruit Linux people - after all Linux has spread far and
wide beyond the geeky, cliquey beginnings. Perhaps you'd like to keep it
that way, and make snide remarks to all serious employers who come here.

If MPC don't see fit to put a figure in lsd on an email job ad going out
to hundreds of people then that's their call - they quite legitimately
may want to discuss salary with the candidate at interview, and given
that they will get a whole range of people applying that's fine by me.
I'd rather not have my salary details spread all over this list,
thankyou.

And please say exactly where James is mentions "fringe benefits" in the
original post?
