dmesg | grep eth
[ 3.799981] eth0: VIA Rhine II at 0xf9fff800, 00:17:31:c3:48:b9, IRQ
23.
[ 3.800704] eth0: MII PHY found at address 1, status 0x786d
advertising 01e1 Link 41e1.

[ 5.871415] natsemi eth1: NatSemi DP8381[56] at 0xfbfff000
(0000:03:04.0), 00:02:e3:18:40:a3, IRQ 16, port TP.
[ 22.868730] wlan0: ethernet device 00:11:50:a9:5d:07 using NDIS
driver: rt2500, version: 0x20001, NDIS version: 0x500, vendor: 'IEEE

[ 35.875366] eth0: link up, 100Mbps, full-duplex, lpa 0x41E1

[ 39.648201] ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): eth1: link is not ready
[ 50.376020] eth0: no IPv6 routers present
No switch and I've tried another cable and still nothing.
ifconfig eth1
eth1 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:02:e3:18:40:a3
inet addr:192.168.61.50 Bcast:192.168.61.255
Mask:255.255.255.0
UP BROADCAST MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
RX bytes:0 (0.0 B) TX bytes:0 (0.0 B)
Interrupt:16 Base address:0xe000
But this seems to be illusory
When I go ifdown/ifup, I get an overrun error reported
