Because I happen to have it running on a virtual machine and would like 
to configure it there :-).

I was thinking more about the mechanics of having a machine I could play 
with for the workshop - i.e. a server that is on the net, happens to be 
virtual so I will need internet access (SSH, HTTP) to be able to play 
with it. Rather than a laptop that I could bring or a desktop that I 
wouldn't want to bring.
