There is currently a vacancy in the Systems team for the entry-level 
position of Junior Systems Support. The role offers the successful 
candidate unlimited potential to advance technical skills, offers 
experience with state-of-the-art technology and opportunity to learn 
from specialist digital media colleagues.

Key Tasks/duties:
• Provide support and troubleshooting for VFX Artists using Linux and 
Windows. To include: application issues, OS issues, networking problems, 
login issues, software installs and requests for peripherals.

• Provide face to face support and be the primary contract for a 
designated discipline.

• Troubleshoot and repair workstation hardware.

• Use of a variety of MPC's in-house tools including the Ticketing 
System, Wiki, Asset Database, Licence Management and Spares Database.

• Provide general help to other members of the Systems team.

• Have a basic knowledge of core servers, network, storage and render 
systems for trouble shooting purposes.

• Provide late cover on a rotational shift pattern.

• Ad hoc project work.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
• Exposure of Linux/BSD/Mac OS X based computers, PC hardware components 
and home networking.

• Familiarity with a range of basic Linux commands, Linux filesystems, 
knowledge of the common Linux configuration files.

• Knowledge of Windows and its configuration.

• You should have a keen interest the same field and aiming to increase 
skill and knowledge base.

• A degree is not required but the ability to learn quickly and think on 
your feet is essential.

• Enthusiasm and commitment to learn about and get involved in 
departmental activities.

• Excellent communication and team working skills.

• Accuracy and attention to detail.

• Ability to prioritise workload and respond quickly to important issues.

• Capacity to manage a busy workload with high productivity.

Salary: Up to £18k
Location: Soho, London
