Specifically with virt-manager the problem has been cross-compilation
to Windows. _If_ it had been a C app, then we'd be shipping Windows
versions right now (I'm not saying that it will be rewritten, but
certainly bits of the functionality may appear in virt-viewer which is
written in C and has been cross-compiled to Windows long ago).

Well, virt-ctrl (written in OCaml) was ported to Windows about a year
ago. Sadly I have mostly discontinued development to focus on
virt-manager/-viewer and more importantly, oVirt.
