Perhaps you should ask that question to the people who hire your. Or
the people who hire the people who hire you.
I think both James and I have been very explicit in this thread in
making clear that our expectations are that of an average middle class
life. A SMALL middle class appt for ourselves and our family
(particularly when we grow old and need to have our own roof over our
head). A little some thing to put away for a rainy day and a little
something for christmass. If these things have become so difficult to
get after 20-25 years of education, and an average bright mind, and a
willingness to work hard, then there is something seriously wrong
somewhere. Hard times or not, reality checks are welcome and
appreciated, but that does not mean we preach the glorification of
poverty while our reckless masters (the banks who were responsible for
this crisis) gamble and make destitute our kin (Ahem ! :-) ).
