[Gllug] Disk Errors causing machine to freeze

On digging it appears that there are kernel issues at work here.

It seems to effect certain chipsets though I'm not sure why.

There is a lot of information about this that has been on the web for a 
long time.  Including a conversation involving linus back in 2006.

There is a patch by Mark Lord I think heading along for an issue in mv_sata.

I'm just a bit miffed as I have already lost a lot of data due to this 
issue, a lot of time rebuilding and spent over £200 on new disks I 
probably didnt need to buy.
