It's a long thread but you might find it useful.  
FWIW Google + "WG111T Netgear Linux" is your friend.

I'd worry about getting the dongle going assuming it can communicate with the router okay under another OS.
Does your wired connection to the router run okay under either Mandriva or SuSE?
