This is also not really true. QWERTY was designed to separate letter
pairs often used together - but if you ten-finger-type, this is not
necessarily bad. It was also designed so that you can type TYPEWRITER
using only one row of the keyboard!

The popular myth idea that QWERTY was just designed to be slow is just
that.
