[Gllug] Linux has arrived

Well having used two of the Huwae (sp?) 3G dongles with my netbook
(the big oval one that actually trails off at the end of a usb lead)
and the little one that is a usb stick itself, using network manager
in Ubuntu Intrepid they both "just work" - you just have to select
whose network you want to connect to and whether you're contract or
PAYG, et voila! Perhaps the netbooks they're selling have old versions
and old kernels etc without support... or maybe its just that the
staff are paid just over minimum wage and you get what you pay for?
