[Gllug] To LLU or Not to LLU?

Hello,
I have discovered that my ISP, Demon/Thus, having sold out to C&W, will
upgrade to ADSL2+ by switching to LLU via C&W.
Demon service has been about as good as most others so far, although
other aspects such as their current faults information and their accounts
department do not have a good reputation, and several helpful members of
staff have now left.
If I am unhappy with Demon service I can easily move to another ISP
before the switch, but after the switch I will be charged for reconnection.
It appears that LLU will not be available once Fibre To The Cabinet is
installed, so BT have the incentive to go ahead ASAP and the first exchanges
will be converted next year.
Access to the front of my house is via the A40 Western Avenue, and is
severely restricted by Transport for London, so not much chance of getting
any more options than the current Virgin and BT offerings, while there is
little room left along the road behind the house for even more facilities. I
now have a few days to decide whether to stay with Demon or move to another
which is not expected to move to LLU.
