What exactly did you find that you didn't like?   It's not very
informative to grumble without being specific... (interrupt: had 
your morning poison? :)

OpenRC is certainly stable and tested enough for production use.

I use it on many machines and have never had a problem, except once
when first enabling parallelisation (normally I don't use this
feature).
