Then dump to file using something like:
sudo du -x -h --max-depth=1 / >& ~/du-output
And then you can attach then file to an email.

No, /proc is not a real filesytem. Neither is /sys, or /dev
if you use udev.
Use the '-x' option that John Hearns suggested to not read
across filesystems.
