Yes, I have used that.  It was never very reliable.  Sometimes it worked
for days in a row, sometimes not and I could never see the pattern.
Sometimes unplugging and replugging helped, sometimes it wouldn't.

In the end I bought the Mifi and haven't looked back.

All on three BTW.
