[Gllug] Howto write a "keylogger"

Hi

I dont need a keylogger actually i need only a Program who prints out 
the keycode into stout so i can do a grep on it and find out what keys 
are pressed. xev sounds good but is has these xwindow and i cant start 
it wihtou it.

So i need something similar?

I playing around with /dev/by.id ... atm but nothing till now

ideas?
