As an aside, there was an item on Radio 4 Moneybox about a bank
instruction which people think is
a Direct Debit but is a sort of recurring payment (I can't remember
the exact name for it). People have been
caught by this because it gives instructions to the bank to keep
making payments - and you cannot cancel it,
the company getting the money is the party which can cancel.

I'm not saying for one minute that any ISP does this - but something
to be wary of when signing up for
recurring payments.
