Adrian,
  my line shows the same temperature dependence - hot days come along
and ADSL stops working.
It stopped completely last Thursday - I bought an i-plate and a new
ADSL filter, but no-go.
My ISP suggested trying an alternative router - which did the trick
I'm happy to say.
Netgear type, if that's any help.

Plusnet were willing to escalate this with BT and get a BT engineer to
come alogn to test the line.
